Hey naper walgreens girls! Long time no post! Two things...
First, who are those two people now in the group who we don't know? One is mrmgt... as in Mr. Management? Kinnnnda shady... introduction please?
Also, who's working this summer? I'm going to Italy for a study abroad program from May 15th-June 11th... I did NOT want to come back to walgreens this summer, but I couldn't really find a job for just the two remaining summer months. Hence, I'm stuck there for my fourth summer! Who else? Maybe it won't be as bad since you-know-who will be out with her you-know-whats. :)
Anyways, ta ta guys! Current Mood: chipper

1. Walgreens produces TOO MANY AD TAGS
2. Walgreens does not schedule enough people on Saturday nights to handle said ad tags
3. I do not like staying til 11:20 and still not finishing everything
That is all. Thank you. Current Mood: tired

Okay, so this past weekend I've worked a whole heck of a lot of hours...all because the store had inventory today. Whoopee. It actually wasn't as horrendous as I thought it would be. And Fedash wasn't yelling and screaming at everybody. Apparently, it went very well!! The worst thing about it though was having to answer all the inventory people's calls for price checks. May I never have to hear those words again. That was the craziest part. It also went pretty fast, too, well at least what I did, anyways. Fedash had me doing audits, which basically meant that I chose a part of a section assigned to me and count that certain section according to prices. Doing this ensures that the people indeed are counting correctly. For the most part, they were pretty good. I never got exactly what they got, but they got confused easily about what costs what. As long as they weren't any more than $200 under what I got, it was all good. The crappiest thing I had to do though was doing that audit thingy for the Hallmark cards. What a pain. In one tiny 2 or maybe 3 foot section, there was like 550 cards!!!!!!! But, it's all over now and now everyone at the store can go back to being their lazy selves and letting stuff get out of place :).

Hear ye, hear ye!
So, in my over-zealousness to work (cough), I told Neuzil I could keep working through the 16th when I leave the 18th cuz I figured hell, I get like no hours, it'll be fine. Howeeeever, turns out I'm scheduled for the 14th (Saturday) 2-10:30, the 15th (Sunday) 2-10:30, AND the 16th (Monday) 5-10:30. Eeek! This means that except for the day right before I leave, I get zero packing time, and even worse, zero social time with home friends.
So the point of this lovely entry is that if anyone would like to perhaps trade shifts with me for either Sunday or Monday (Saturday I can handle), I would be much appreciative. I'll trade you any night this week for Monday night, or if you're working during the day Sunday, or something! I know everyone is going back to school now though so I'll ask some of the high schoolers too.
Sorry to be annoying! I'm just desperate for one more work-free night before I go. Current Mood: distressed

Haha, I think this thing is great. Good job putting this together, Karen!
Work was kinda sucky today...warehouse/ makeup totes came in today...and even though there weren't that many, it still sucked moving all that stuff around.
Today was sad, too cause Katrina and Elaina left :(. They'll be greatly missed.
The new lady (Debbie) who's taking over cos seems nice enough, though she's as green as they come. The first few weeks will be interesting, to say the least.
I hope I'll have a good story to post on here one of these days.

so alle and i figured since a lot of us naperville walgreens workers have live journals we should make a small community! aren't we brilliant? after all the only reason i really stayed at walgreens is cause of the cool people! this way we can also keep in touch during school. hopefully i am not looking too lame right now.
anywho please post and talk amoung yourselves! feel free to tell more people if you want. talk to you all soon!
